Hong Kong based Advanced Card Systems (ACS) has launched a token-sized USB plug and play version of its ACR122 NFC contactless reader.

The ACR122T supports ISO14443 Type A and B, Felica, Mifare and a variety of NFC contactless tags and devices. "It is perfect for secure personal identification and online micro-payment transactions, especially under fast-paced and mobile environments," says ACS.

The company has also updated its ACR122 Software Development Kit to include an ACR122T token-form reader in addition to the ACR122 full-sized reader. "Aside from having sample codes and tools and utilities, developers can try the devices with the peer-to-peer demo simulating real-world NFC applications," ACS adds. The SDK is available direct from ACS from US$149.
