Samsung Galaxy S2 to launch with NFC at Mobile World Congress?

The successor to Samsung’s hugely successful Galaxy S smartphone is set to launch at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next month, according to a report in Korean publication Etnews — and near field communication functionality looks set to come as standard.

The Galaxy S2 will feature a high-speed dual-core processor and a 4.3-inch Super Amoled display, according to Etnews. And, like the Samsung-built Google Nexus S, the device will run the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and will include NFC. More than 100 mobile network operators around the world are planning to offer the Galaxy S2, a Samsung spokesman is reported to have told the publication.
