OPINION: The world's first commercial NFC system has now gone live in Malaysia, marking a major turning point for near field communication.
Meanwhile Nokia has announced that its first phone with SIM-based NFC, compatible with the GSM Association's NFC specifications, will be available for distribution later this year.
Vague predictions that late 2009 would see NFC finally becoming a commercial reality are now, at last, beginning to look a lot more solid...
